Dubai Overview >> Geography and Climate

Dubai is more or less located at the sea level on the Persian Gulf coast of the UAE. Abu Dhabi, Sultanate of Oman and Sharjah shares the border with Dubai. The emirate Dubai covers an area of 4,114 km². It directly lies within the Arabian Desert and the southern portion of this emirate has a different topography. The sand spread across here is a blend of coral and crushed shell and is clean and white. The Western Hajar Mountains run alongside the border of Dubai with Oman.  Wild grasses are being supported by the sandy desert and occasional date palm trees are being found.

As far as Dubai’s climate is concerned it is hot, but at times it’s humid as it is located close to the sea level. 47.3 °C is the highest recorded temperature in Dubai and as far as the lowest is concerned, it reaches 7 °C. The months of January, February and March are the months of precipitation. Dubai also saw a record breaking rain shower in the winter months. Thus, heavy rainfall is not that uncommon in the emirate. It has a sub tropical and arid climate. So, if planning to visit this place or planning to invest in Dubai real estate, then plan accordingly!
