Famous Landmarks in Athens Greece: Greece itself is a beautiful country and is no less than a famous landmark in the world; however, every country has their special preserved heritages which are termed as famous landmarks. Tourists from across the world come and explore the beauty and significance of those landmarks. The Acropolis is by far the most famous Athens landmark. This is one of the popular tourist attractions. Various ancient buildings and theaters are closely situated to this sacred hill. This historical building is known as the Propylaea which were designed by Pericles and Mnesikles between 437 and 432 BC. Parthenon is a world famous temple; visitors to the Acropolis can actually see the remains of the stairs which lead to the temple. Moreover, the building has remained intact for around 2,500 years.

Lycabettus Hill (Likavitos Hill): This hill is one of the several hills centrally located in Athens Greece. Those who manage to climb this hill will be rewarded by offering spectacular and breathtaking views of Athens and the coastal region. A number of pathways have been constructed to reach there. Hikers can enjoy varieties of Greek vegetation various species of flowers and poppies which make your journey a pleasant one. Syndagma Square: This landmark is located across the Greek parliament and is considered to be the heart of modern Athens. In Greek language it is being called as Syndagma Square. The attractive Greek Parliament building is ideally located next to the National Garden and the parliament buildings are also called as the Royal Palace. Explore Athen’s most picturesque arteries, panepistimiou Avenue. Here probably you can visit the famous Academy of Arts. Moreover, if you truly want to explore the area a National Library is standing still with attractive columns near Omonia Square.
