Europe is a well defined world full of style, history and culture. The European countries are united together with great architectures that have been spread through ages here. Moreover, Europe is a country which is flooded with some great and famous landmarks which the citizens of Europe and the tourists admire. As far as famous landmarks in Europe are concerned few are listed below:

Eiffel Tower – Paris: This great landmark is a real crowd pleaser. Since its construction, 180 million people have come to see this amazing architecture. Eiffel Tower is also known as the monument which best symbolizes Europe and its history. These architectures offer a blend of contemporary and stylish appeal to the modern Europe. This tower has been built for more than 100 years now; however, the technology involved in developing it, especially its elevator system, remains amazing. This tower was raised as the acknowledgment of the end of the French Revolution. Today, it is one of the popularly recognized monuments in the world.



Big Ben – London: Big Ben is a Clock Tower which is 320 foot high. The name of this tower has been casted after the largest bell which weighed over 13 tons. Each clock face of the Big Ben is over 7meters in diameter. This is a Gothic masterpiece, in which the bell rings every 15 minutes. It’s basically the name of the bell inside the tower. As far as the specifications of the Big Ben are concerned, the minute hand of the clock tower is 14 feet long. A stack of coins is being placed on the pendulum and the time keeping of the Big Ben is regulated. 



Leaning Tower of Pisa – Italy: This freestanding bell tower is ideally located behind a beautiful cathedral. Due to its poor construction the tower began to lean in the southeast direction after its construction in 1173. The tower is 55.86 m high and it’s weighed 14,500 metric tons. It’s called the leaning tower of Pisa as the tower is leaned at an angle of 5.5 degrees. Moreover, it is being said that during the construction of this tower, when the tower reached its third storey, it began to sink in the ground, thus, causing it to lean. The tower has more than 200 stairs in the center of the building. It remained like this for now almost 90 years. This famous architecture building is of Romanesque style and is cylindrically shaped. At the base of the tower there are big blind arcades with geometrical decorations.
 


Buckingham Palace – London: This building is one of the famous buildings in London. It is the official residence of The Queen in London. This working building is the centerpiece of the constitutional monarchy of Britain. Various royal ceremonies are being well organized in this working place. In addition, more than 50,000 people visit this palace every year as guests. There are State Rooms in the palace which is regularly used by the Queen.
