As we all know that Asia is the largest continent on Earth, therefore is a home to various natural landmarks. This largest continent has all ranging from natural marine environments to the highest mountain peaks. As far as these natural landmarks are concerned, as the name suggests are not created by man. These are the formations which have slowly and gradually evolved in a due course of time. This diverse variety make people come from around the globe to explore some of these great natural landmarks in Asia. 



Moreover, there are enough physical attractions to satisfy the naturalist in all human beings. There is a long list of natural landmarks in various Asian countries. Let’s discuss some of them:

Mount Fuji: This is the highest volcano in Japan which is at 3,776 meters. It is even visible from the skyscrapers of the Central Tokyo as well as Yokohama. This natural landmark is an active volcano standing on the border between Yamanashi and Shizuoka. The most exciting way to see this natural landmark is from a train on a trip between Tokyo and Osaka. Moreover, the visibility of this landmark gets clearer during colder seasons rather than in summers. The best view can be enjoyed from Shin-Fuji station which comes after 45 minutes after leaving Tokyo.



Ayers Rock: Ayers Rock is a large rock formation in Australia and is one of the most recognizable natural icons of Australia. Once it was considered as one of the great wonders of the world. The most unusual thing about this rock formation is that it is red in color. Moreover, the formation is in the Northern Territory, Central Australia. The rock formation stands 348 meters high and measures 9.4 kilometers in circumference. This world renowned sandstone formation has a great cultural significance for traditional landowners. Moreover, this natural landmark is notable for appearing to change colors as the different light strikes at different times of the day and the year.

A camel tour or a helicopter ride can be enjoyed around the formation; though climbing on the formation is discouraged by the local residents.



Reed Flute Cave: This famous attraction is known as “the Palace of Natural Arts” and it is located in the northwest of Guilin city. This famous natural landmark got its name because people believe that the mouth of the cave could be made into flutes. Some of the formations in this cave are given colorful names such as Red Curtain and Dragon Pagoda etc. This is the most spectacular and amazing subterranean scenery in Asia. Length of the cave is 240 meters and is known as a magic fairyland of stones, pillars, birds, plants and animals in fantastic shapes and colors.
 
Gobi Desert: It is one of the largest deserts in Asia covering most of Southern Mongolia. The temperature in Gobi desert is at extremes. This is one of the few areas of sand dune formations and is a popular tourist destination around the world.

Therefore, these are some of the natural and popular land marks in Asia that are a must visit for everyone.
